So I have moved to London and have done more social activities in the past six days than in the past year living at home (I reckon). Crazy. I feel SO much better for it. It’s so nice having my own space and freedom. I start my job on Monday, which I think will be extremely demanding but an amazing opportunity. I think I have to be extremely grateful for how fortunate I am right now.

So… yesterday I found out that I finished my Masters degree with an average of 71%, meaning that I passed with Distinction. Yay!

This won’t be a record for many…but I haven’t eaten chocolate in a whole week! Yay! It’s strange how you just lose your cravings after a while…

“Leo was so tired. He has his head on my stomach and asked for a sandwich. The assistant asked, ‘What do you want on it?’ and Leo said, ‘Oh, Kate will tell you.’ And Leo just kind of fell asleep. And I did know exactly what he wanted’ this cheese and no tomato and no pickle. I absolutely knew. And I thought, God, that’s really weird that I know this person so well.’ It was brilliant

Norwegian Fjords

Norwegian Fjords

Just returned from travelling across the Baltic with my boyfriend - it was amazing.

What we got up to:

Zebrugge, Belgium:

Got on a bus to Blankenberge and then the train to Bruges, setting us back a sweet 4 euro return. Walked around for a couple of hours and had a beer watching boats pass on the canal.

Oslo, Norway:

Went on a boat trip up the Fjords - incredible scenery. I personally wasn’t amazed by the city.

Copenhagen, Denmark:

Went to the Rosenberg Palace which was extremely picturesque. Also wandered through the Botanical Gardens which were beautiful.

Stockholm, Sweden:

Wonderful canals and scenery. Just had a wander around the city.

Helsinki, Finland:

Took a 5 euro boat trip to Suomenlinna, an island with fortresses on it, as well as 800 homes. It was a strange mix between a naval base and a tourist haven. But it had great scenery.

St. Petersburg, Russia:

Took an organised tour (to avoid visa complications/costs) to the Peterhof Palace. So beautiful.

Tallinn, Estonia:

Had been here before but the streets are lovely and quaint. Had a coffee and a beer in a bar.

Gdynia, Poland:

Gdynia is a small town with not many attractions. The ship were doing an organised tour to nearby Gdansk for 40$ each. We managed to figure out the Polish railway system (and walk for a long time), which was a tad scary. But we got to Gdansk and back for £1.50! We also made it up a huge tower with stunning views for 50p and beers were 80p each. Glorious.
